Resolved Question: Chances of beating a traffic ticket.?

Ok so I got a speeding ticket in placerville county in California. I am debating if I should plead not guilty and request a trial in person or a Trial by declaration. I was speeding, going 72 in a 55 zone, so I know I am guilty. I am hoping that the cop will get lazy or have some coppering to do at the time of the trial and will not be ale to make it. So in which situation is the cop more likely to not show up so that my case gets thrown out? Is the cop more likely to not do the paperwork for a trial by declaration or more likely to not show up in person? Dude, I know I dont have much of a case. I am hoping for the case being thrown out. This question is to find out the more plausible scenario of the 2. Cop not doing paperwork for trial by declaration or cop not coming to the court in person. Why are you wasting your and my time by giving completely unrelated answers. Ok, the only reason I am doing this is because if I get another point on my record my insurance company will rape me for the next 3 years. I cannot do traffic school since I did it within the last 18 months. So the only way I am getting off is if the case is thrown out.
